The General Service Inspector is responsible for visually inspecting and verifying quality standards of stamped automotive parts and assemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures that parts meet customer specifications before packaging and shipment, while also maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform visual inspections of stamped metal components for defects such as cracks, bends, or other imperfections.
- Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part dimensions when required.
- Follow control plans, work instructions, and inspection checklists accurately.
- Sort parts according to quality standards (acceptable vs. non‑conforming).
- Document inspection results and complete production reports.
- Communicate defects or quality concerns to supervisors or quality engineers.
- Assist with rework or containment activities as needed.
Mandated overtime 7 days a week
- Saturday and Sunday included
