Our team in Space & Defense is looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance Specialist to join them. You will report to the Rugged Optical Solutions (ROS) Business Unit General Manager and will have an onsite work schedule based in Highland Heights,  this role, you will be responsible for the implementation and execution of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs across two Moog locations:
Highland Heights, OH and Johnson City, TN. You will ensure the consistent application of corporate EHS standards while supporting site-specific operational requirements. Acting as a trusted partner to leadership and employees, you will drive regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and continuous improvement in EHS performance. This position requires regular travel to the Johnson City facility, with an anticipated visit approximately once per month and overall travel expectations of 20–50%.To

be considered for the Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance Specialist role, you'll need:
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
* 3 years of manufacturing EHS experience, including:  + Waste management and hazardous materials transportation  + Hazard identification, risk assessment, and corrective actions  + EHS compliance, data analysis, and reporting  + Developing EHS programs, conducting gap assessments, and delivering regulatory training
* Strong communication, training, and relationship-building skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and training tools such as PowerPoint and Articulate.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* EHS certifications (CHMM, CSP, ASP, etc.) and ISO 9001/AS9100 knowledge preferred.

As an Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance Specialist, you will:
* Lead EHS programs across two manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
* Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, and contractors.
* Collect, analyze, and report EHS data to support compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Identify workplace hazards, assess risk, and implement effective corrective actions.
* Develop, maintain, and improve EHS policies, procedures, management systems, and audit programs.
* Interpret regulations and provide practical guidance to leadership, supervisors, and employees.
* Manage environmental permits, regulatory reporting, OSHA submissions, ESG metrics, and other compliance requirements.
* Support emergency response activities and serve as a key contact during incidents and regulatory inspections.
* Partner with site leadership, Corporate EHS, and regulatory agencies to drive EHS performance and continuous improvement.
* Travel between sites as required.
* Other duties as assigned.
