The OpportunityAre you a hands-on, analytically minded technician with an interest in the Construction field? Triangle Fastener Corporation is seeking an Engineering Assistant to join the team in our Cleveland, OH Tech Center
. The Engineering Assistant is responsible for conducting product testing, collecting and documenting performance data, troubleshooting product issues, and supporting engineering efforts related to product development, quality assurance, and technical validation. This position works closely with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and External Suppliers to help ensure products meet defined performance, safety, customer, and applicable testing requirements.

- Conduct mechanical, structural, and performance testing on products.
- Record test results, measurements, observations, and environmental conditions as required.
- Support Engineering with new product development and potential product offering projects.
- Assist with customer claim and field-performance investigations.
Depending on business needs, testing assignments may include:
- Fastener pull‑out, tensile, shear, torque, and installation‑performance testing.
- Corrosion‑resistance and coating evaluations.
- Sealant and accessory performance testing.
- Power‑tool, installation‑tool, and competitive product evaluations.
Preferred Experience
- At least one year of product testing, laboratory, quality, manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering‑support experience
- Experience using mechanical testing equipment, measurement tools, and data‑collection systems preferred
- Technical education, military training, apprenticeship, or relevant hands‑on experience may be considered.
- Associate’s degree or above in an Engineering related field.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, and test procedures.
- Working knowledge of laboratory practices and safe equipment operation.
- Ability to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and related instruments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and preparation of clear technical reports.
- Experience with CAD software is a plus.
