Trust Real Estate Department Lead

As a Trust Real Estate Department Lead within PNC's Asset Management Group organization, you will be based  Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH.

As a Trust Real Estate Department Lead, you will have the following responsibilities:

- Oversee workflow and assist team with executing transactions and processes.

- Monitor and coordinate the operations workflow and assist team members with escalated issues. May process and/or reconcile transactions of varying risk and financial value in accordance with established policies and procedures. Identify and address exceptions and serve as a point of escalation. Partner internally to resolve escalations and provide guidance. May interact with external customers and third parties in completing transactions or resolving escalated issues.

- Coach team members and provide applicable training. May lead team huddles/meetings and/or continuous improvement sessions. May provide input on team member performance and development.

- Provide consultation and advice to internal and external customers. Review existing processes, recommend improvements and may assist with implementation. Provide input and may update standard operating procedures. Participate in and may serve as a subject matter resource for projects.

- Review transactions and related documents and verify work processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and conformance to established service levels and applicable procedures. May review reports to identify exceptions, monitor quality and ensure compliance. May participate in risk mitigation activities. Verifies the completeness and accuracy of procedures.

Preferred experience/skills include:

- Management/leadership experience

- Knowledge of fiduciary practices including trust real estate

- CPM, CCIM, CTFA, Trust School

** Job Description*
* + Acts as subject matter expert to oversee all assigned trust owned real estate assets which may include highly complex residential, rental, commercial, farmland and timber properties as well as oil, gas and mineral interests. Accountable for identifying, mitigating and escalating risk while acquiring, preserving and managing these properties.

+ Complies with the banks policies and procedures for consistent management of real estate activities in alignment with the banks fiduciary policies and procedures, to include such activities as: real estate purchases, sales, leases, negotiations, general property management, safekeeping, disposition/productivity analysis, bill payments, tax and insurance enforcement and the hiring of contractors and agents.

+ Collaborates as the subject matter expert with AMG Fiduciary Counsel and Market Fiduciary Advisors and Managers as necessary to ensure risks are appropriately analyzed, managed, escalated and resolved.

+ Accountable for assessing risk and making recommendations to accept, retain or sell assets. Oversees annual reviews. Presents recommendations to Real Estate Trust Investment Committee and/or Special Assets Committee, according to committee guidelines.

+ Preserves and manages assigned physical properties. Makes recommendations for property improvements based on need. Coordinates the hiring of professionals as needed for maintenance and upkeep of the property. Ensures all properties are adequately inspected, valued and insured; ensures all taxes, insurance premiums and property related expenses are timely paid and kept current.

+ Guides all activities necessary to purchase or sell a property. Determines if capital improvements are necessary. Assesses risk of transaction. Presents recommendations to Real Estate Trust Investment Committee or and/or Special Assets Committee. Engages with internal partners and external service providers to ensure a smooth and accurate transfer of ownership.
