Laboratory Technician
Job Description
As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing and analyzing samples for testing. You will initially work in the FISH (fluorescence in situ hybridization) and cytogenetic areas, contributing to the diagnostic team's efforts.
Responsibilities
* Culture, treat, and prepare samples for testing.
* Conduct pipetting procedures accurately.
* Extract DNA and RNA to identify genetic sequences.
* Perform preparatory work for the diagnostic team.
Essential Skills
* Degree in biological sciences.
* Experience in a laboratory environment, either during school or post-graduation.
* Proficiency in chemistry and biology.
* Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
* Strong attention to detail.
* Excellent organizational skills.
Work Environment
The Molecular Pathology Lab is located in the LL Building and is known for its cleanliness and organization. The position operates on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
