Job Summary
The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is hiring a Research Analyst in Regional Analysis. The analyst will support economists and officers by providing analytical assistance, producing publications, maintaining data sets, and supporting policy briefings. The role focuses on the region’s economy and requires confidentiality access to FOMC information.
Responsibilities- Provide analytical and other assistance to support staff economists and officers in the production of articles, presentations, and public data products.
- Summarize discussions with local business leaders and external contacts to monitor the region’s economic environment; manage and maintain associated summaries and critical meeting documents.
- Assist in the production of the Beige Book, including monitoring industry conditions and overseeing the distribution of our survey to a network of external contacts.
- Maintain, update, and develop data sets and slide shows as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in economics or a closely related field (public policy, finance, statistics, mathematics, or computer science).
- Working knowledge of econometrics and/or statistical packages such as Stata or R.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct phone interviews and clearly capture discussions.

The starting salary range for the Research Analyst, Regional Analysis is $66,100 to $82,600 annually, with final offer based on background, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.
