Lab Supervisor (Auto-Chemistry)

Location:

Cleveland, OH

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with rotational weekends

Salary: $80,000-$100,000 annually

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lab Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a clinical laboratory environment. This individual will be responsible for supervising laboratory staff, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met, managing workflow, and supporting technical laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

+ Supervise and coordinate daily laboratory activities and staff schedules

+ Train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory personnel

+ Review and approve specialized and complex test results

+ Monitor quality control processes and ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory standards

+ Assist with hiring, performance management, and staff development

+ Support laboratory operations during peak workloads and staff absences

+ Participate in regulatory inspections and special projects as needed

Qualifications

Required

+ Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related scientific field

+ ASCP certification (MLS or equivalent)

+ 4-6 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or equivalent in a clinical laboratory setting

+ Strong experience in Auto-Chemistry

Preferred

+ Previous supervisory or leadership experience

+ Experience working in a high-volume clinical laboratory environment
