A Brief OverviewThe research fellow will work in collaboration with faculty members from Neurology, Neurosurgery and other faculty, fellows, residents and research staff within UH or at with other academic institutions. Develop data collection tools and perform data collection, data analysis and interpretation of testing results.
What You Will Do- The Neurology Research Fellow (RF) is expected to carry out complex research assignments focused on government or industry sponsored clinical trials within neurology and neurosurgery.
- The RF will carry out the execution of experimental protocol designs and the execution of collecting complex data sets and data analysis for these assigned projects.
- The RF will participate in the development and implementation of new and/or revised study protocols, research methodologies, screening, informed consenting, trial clinical visits, testing and obtaining and processing of protocol required tests.
- The RF will collect, analyze, interpret, and evaluate /report research data.
- In addition, this RF will contribute to preliminary data, background and significance and experimental
design for grant proposals. - Other responsibilities may include preparing scientific manuscripts, articles, abstracts, and research reports for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- The RF will be expected to attend and present at local and national scientific conferences, investigator meetings and conference calls, assist at seminars, host site visits as well as conducting critical analysis of research literature related to research being investigated.
- The RF will care out research related clinical testing, sampling and shipping.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
- Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Master's Degree (Preferred)
- Doctorate Degree (Preferred)
- 1+ years Basic Science, Neuroscience or related discipline (Required)
- Knowledge of statistical and / or epidemiological methods (Preferred proficiency)
- Knowledge of MS office, Excel, Word (Preferred proficiency)
- Knowledge of EPIC (Preferred proficiency)
