ReStore Cashier and Floor Associate (Part-Time)
Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore Cashier and Floor Associate (part-time) serves as primary cashier, sales floor associate, and merchandiser in the ReStore.
Key Responsibilities- Welcomes customers, answers questions, and helps customers locate items.
- Processes sales transactions and takes payments.
- Answers customer questions about products or services and provides recommendations based on customer needs.
- Reconciles cash drawers and sales receipts.
- Assists customers with sales write-ups on the sales floor.
- Assists on the dock with donations: cleans, prices, tags, and merchandises new stock.
- Assists with organization and maintenance of merchandise displays and inventory.
- Assists with volunteer training and engagement.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience as a cashier.
- Customer service skills to maintain positive customer relationships, encourage customer loyalty and resolve conflicts.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers.
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and potentially stressful environment.
- Experience with an operating POS system.
- Ability to handle money with full accuracy, transparency, and integrity.
- Experience with some computer programs i.e., Microsoft 365, specifically Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs with assistance, including furniture, equipment, and fixtures.
- Commitment to a cooperative work ethic.
- Capacity to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Commitment to Greater Cleveland Humanity for Humanity mission and the principles of Humanity for Humanity International.
- Prior customer service role in a retail environment.
- Prior experience in a nonprofit environment.

ReStore Manager (Cleveland or North Randall ReStore). - Job type:
Part‑time (20–24 hours) hourly, non‑exempt position. - Schedule:
Tuesday through Saturday (hours TBD). - Targeted hourly rate:
Starting at $15.00–$16.00; commensurate with experience.

Work Environment &Physical Requirements
This position primarily operates in a retail warehouse setting. It requires the ability to lift and position items up to 30 lbs with assistance. Candidates must be comfortable with frequently standing, walking, and working in various positions, including bending, squatting, and seated to use a cash register. May be exposed to cold and warm temperatures due to varying weather conditions.
