Golf Shop Attendant

The Golf Shop Attendant operates a point-of-sale system to sell merchandise, greens fees, and food and beverage.

Responsibilities include:

• Handling cash transactions for greens fees, merchandise, and food and beverage in conformity with Park District policies and procedures relating to cash handling.
• Assisting customers with merchandise selection.
• Providing outstanding customer service to all guests.
• Receiving visitors' complaints and resolving complaints when possible. Informing supervisor of unresolved complaints.
• Keeping direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns.
• Carrying out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public. Responding to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.
• Performing related duties as assigned or apparent.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Prior experience in retail or as a cashier.
• Age 18 or older to handle beer in sealed containers in connection with wholesale or retail sales.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of golf.
• Ability to establish and maintain good public relations with guests.
• Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative.

Work Schedule:

Must be available to work a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays.
