Job Description
The Rental Account Manager is the primary rental sales/marketing function at the BU level, supporting commercial rental and trailer services product lines. The role focuses on generating profitable new accounts, retaining existing ones, and driving rental revenue growth and profitability while improving return on assets.
Responsibilities- Develop leads through cold calls, telephone solicitation, and customer visits. Assess customer needs, develop proposals, and coordinate with rental operations to ensure equipment availability.
- Train sales representatives in telemarketing and ensure they are skilled in prospecting prospective customers and existing customers.
- Maintain contact with customers via visits and calls, handle complaints, retain customers in a price‑competitive market, and schedule retention visits.
- Prepare proposals and contracts, maintain customer files, manage follow‑up correspondence, and coordinate with other BU departments.
- Ensure accurate customer data and maintain FIS integrity in the DPS system.
- Follow up within specified time frames, comply with company procedures, and manage collections of receivables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent 5+ years of job‑related experience.
- At least 1 year of sales experience or equivalent sales training (preferred: 3+ years).
- At least 1 year of industry experience (preferred).
Base Salary: $55,000 per year with an uncapped commission structure.
Average Commission Year One: $15,000 – $20,000
Average Commission Year Two: $20,000 – $25,000+
