Account Manager – Cleveland, OH
Airgas is seeking an Account Manager to build and sustain high‑value partnerships within our business and industrial sectors. The role focuses on advancing sustainable growth within a defined territory by nurturing existing accounts and identifying new opportunities aligned with company excellence.
Responsibilities- Advance territory growth by deepening relationships with existing clients and identifying new partnerships.
- Foster understanding by communicating in an organized and clear manner to support customers’ business goals.
- Develop a strategic roadmap to achieve sales milestones, prioritizing account opportunities.
- Implement account partnership strategies, including regular business reviews for key customers, to ensure high‑level support and value.
- Connect with key stakeholders and influencers to understand their needs and support decision‑making.
- Coordinate information management across all phases of the partnership lifecycle, establishing proactive action plans.
- Proactively learn about new products and the competitive landscape to remain a trusted advisor.
- Integrate all product lines into accounts, focusing on adding value and supporting the core sales philosophy of customer‑centric service.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Reliable transportation, current driver’s license, and liability insurance as required by state law.
- Comfort and familiarity with computer applications, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- 3+ years of outside business‑to‑business sales experience, including solution‑selling concepts.
- Excellent organizational, written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience using a consultative sales approach to provide multiple layers of value to customers.
- Proactive and self‑motivated, operating with a results‑oriented focus in an autonomous and team‑oriented environment.
- Proven track record in industrial sales.
- Extensive experience in outside sales and relationship management.
- Knowledge or strong interest in welding and compressed gases products.
Compensation includes a base salary of $70,000–$75,000 plus commission and a monthly car allowance. Benefits commence after 30 days and include medical, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, tuition assistance, paid holidays, vacation, sick time, and parental leave.
