Fives - Cutting Tool & Abrasives Product Line is actively seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Central U.S. territory (Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia). Fives has a 200‑year heritage of inventing and designing solutions that improve everyday life. The role requires driving sales growth, building relationships, and delivering value to customers.
Pay Range: 75 k – 90 k plus commission (rate commensurate with experience).
Responsibilities- Analyze customer needs and formulate solutions to sell value by utilizing all agent and company resources available.
- Provide information to customers on new and current products, pricing structure and delivery status.
- Seek new uses and applications for company products with existing and prospective customers.
- Develop individual sales strategy for each account in the designated territory to optimize bookings.
- Recommend and attend Industrial Trade Shows for the purpose of developing new markets.
- Oversee direct preparation of proposals, contracts, amendments and supporting promotional activities.
- Provide support for projects and testing after the order, whether internal or external.
- Collect business intelligence and submit special reports regarding the operation of the territory, acceptance or rejection of products and competitive conditions beneficial to other salespeople and the company.
- Recommend the addition of new products, services and modifications to the line as appropriate.
- Achieve prompt, mutually satisfactory solutions to customer complaints.
- Travel within Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
- Manage Fives’ manufacturers’ representatives in the RSM’s territory, including team selling, training, reporting, etc.
- Manage Fives’ distributors responsible for the RSM’s accounts, including team selling, training, reporting, etc.
- Accurate forecasting is a must and will be an integral part of meeting company sales objectives.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent Fives Landis Corp. as an industry leader to customers, suppliers, colleagues, and employees.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/SB) in Business, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of field sales experience or 5+ years of technical/service experience.
- Proven knowledge of cutting tools and abrasives products (preferred).
- Experience with statistical analysis, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and process improvement tools.
- Strong technical sales, presentation, and customer engagement skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship building abilities.
- Self-motivated, high-energy professional with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel up to 60% to support and grow customer relationships.
- Residency in Ohio or Indiana (required).
