Prestige Beauty Advisor

The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) is responsible for maximizing sales in the prestige category—color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance—by engaging guests to determine their needs and facilitating the selection and purchase of prestige merchandise. All duties are performed while maintaining store standards of cleanliness and replenishment. The role supports the Sales Manager in performance (service and retail sales), people (guest service and associate culture), and process (operating procedures and compliance).

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, retail shrink, omni‑channel sales, with a specific focus on the prestige category and iconic brands.
• Provide exceptional service by greeting and engaging every guest, personalizing service, recommending complementary products/services, and informing guests of promotions, events, and services.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest service experience.
• Book appointments and support execution of services and in‑store events that deliver a guest experience while meeting prestige and brand sales goals.
• Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment supporting teammates, peers, and guests.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training for prestige and iconic brand products and category education.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Adhere to dress code.
• Maintain replenishment and hygiene of prestige work area and testers.
• Maintain store operational standards of cleanliness and proper setup of makeover stations.
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory, and shipment processing.
• Share benefits of the guest loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app.
• Protect company assets via loss prevention best practices.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• High school diploma preferred.
• Cosmetology, esthetician, or demonstrator license where required by state law.

• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

• Passion and significant competency for prestige products, guest service, and selling.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.

• Work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attend corporate meetings and conferences, including overnight stays.

• Frequent mobility, standing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, twisting, lifting up to 10 lbs., and manipulation of objects.

The pay range for this position is $14.50 – $19.50 per hour. Pay will be based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay as required by law. Full‑time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
