Retail Technology Growth Manager – Sales & Strategic Partnerships
The Retail Computer Group (TRCG) is looking for a driven, relationship-oriented sales professional to help expand our presence in specialty retail technology.
TRCG provides modern retail technology solutions to inventory-driven merchants across the United States, including NCR CounterPoint, Heartland Retail, and other POS platforms, payment solutions, retail integrations, and operational tools that help businesses improve inventory management and modernize their in-store and online operations.
The RoleThis is a hybrid Business Development / Account Executive role focused on creating real sales opportunities—not simply working through cold-call lists.
You’ll identify promising retail verticals, build relationships with merchants and strategic partners, generate qualified opportunities, and help move those opportunities through the early and middle stages of the sales process.
You do not need to be a POS engineer or run highly technical demos. Our senior team handles technical discovery, demonstrations, solution design, and complex implementations.
Your job is to open doors, build trust, identify opportunities, and create momentum.
What You’ll Do- Identify and pursue high-value B2B and B2C retail opportunities
- Develop relationships with specialty retailers, distributors, consultants, service providers, merchant-services organizations, associations, and other industry partners
- Generate warm, qualified sales opportunities through strategic prospecting and relationship development
- Conduct initial outreach, qualification, and early-stage discovery
- Identify key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations
- Collaborate with TRCG’s senior team on demos, technical discovery, and solution presentations
- Maintain consistent follow-up and help opportunities progress through the sales cycle
- Develop repeatable referral and prospecting channels that create ongoing lead flow
- Track sales activity and pipeline progress in CRM
- Represent TRCG at industry events, partner meetings, and vertical-specific opportunities
We’re especially interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
- B2B or B2C sales
- Merchant services or payment processing
- Retail technology or POS systems
- SaaS or technology sales
- eCommerce or retail operations
- Strategic partnerships or channel development
- Referral-network development
You should be comfortable starting conversations, developing relationships, following up consistently, and identifying where genuine business opportunities exist.
Retail or POS experience is helpful, but not required
. Strong relationship-building, business development, communication, and pipeline-management skills are more important.
This role combines base compensation with meaningful performance upside:
- Base salary: $45,000–$55,000
- POS commissions: 8–10% of gross profit, typically $500–$1,500 per deal
- Processing residual opportunities: 10–15% of net residuals
- Partner bonuses: Available for activated partners and qualified partner opportunities
- Enterprise bonuses: $1,000–$3,000 for qualifying multi-location or larger deals
- Travel reimbursement: For approved events, partner meetings, and vertical outreach
- Target OTE: $80,000–$120,000+ depending on performance
This is an opportunity to help shape how TRCG grows.
Rather than simply being handed a list and told to make calls, you’ll have the opportunity to develop vertical strategies, build partner relationships, create new prospecting channels, and participate in the long-term growth of our retail technology business.
If you enjoy building relationships, finding opportunities others overlook, and turning those relationships into long-term revenue, we’d like to talk.
