Account Manager, Business Development, B2B Sales
Our client is an established wire and cable manufacturer and is seeking a Strategic Account Managers to drive growth within key strategic accounts. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this is senior-level, market-focused rather than territory-focused sales roles. The Strategic Account Managers will work closely with other Account Managers to strengthen customer relationships, identify new opportunities within existing accounts, and grow multimillion-dollar business.
This is not a traditional high-volume prospecting role. Success will come from understanding complex customer organizations, developing executive-level relationships, and strategically expanding business within major accounts.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and grow multimillion-dollar strategic accounts
- Build strong relationships with senior and C-level customer contacts
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts
- Develop and execute strategic account growth plans
- Support, coach, and mentor Account Managers
- Lead customer presentations, negotiations, and strategic account reviews
- Work with internal technical and operational teams to meet customer needs
- 5+ years of sales/account management experience in wire and cable, electronics, data centers, automotive, or contract manufacturing
- Proven track record of revenue growth within multimillion-dollar accounts
- Leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities
- Strong technical aptitude
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Must currently reside in the Greater Cleveland area
- Ability to travel 30–50%
