Job Title: Unarmed Protective Security Specialist - Military Priority
Location: Cleveland/ Northeast OH
Employment Type: Part-Time (potential for Full-Time)
Compensation: $18 - $22/hour, based on experience and sites covered.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly professional Unarmed Protective Security Specialist to join our team in providing protective services for our events and high‑profile venues. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, a proactive approach to identifying and managing potential risks, and a customer‑focused demeanor. This role will involve maintaining a secure environment for guests, staff, and property through effective crowd management, access control, and crisis response.
We are prioritizing veterans for this position.
- Access Control: Outer perimeter security, in addition to conducting wanding, pat‑downs, and bag checks at entry points, while ensuring guests feel welcomed and at ease.
- Crowd Control & Safety: Monitor the venue for hazards, disturbances, or emergencies, and utilize de‑escalation techniques to maintain a safe environment.
- Staff Escorting: Provide secure escort for staff in public areas.
- Emergency Coordination: Facilitate quick and efficient access for law enforcement, fire, and EMS teams during emergencies.
This role requires flexibility and a readiness to adapt to different security assignments, ensuring alertness and effectiveness across all assigned tasks. Specialists will work a variety of contracts, some solo, some with small teams (2‑10), and large teams (11‑50).
Qualifications- Education: High school diploma or higher.
- Experience: Preference for candidates with a background in military, law enforcement, or a minimum of 3‑5 years in high‑end security roles (hospital, executive protection, casino, etc.)
- Skills: Strong situational awareness, customer service orientation, conflict resolution and de‑escalation skills, and excellent interpersonal communication. Candidates must exhibit discretion, professionalism, attention to detail, and quick decision‑making under pressure.
- Certifications: First Aid/CPR/AED certifications are preferred. Candidates with additional experience in EMR, EMT, or paramedic roles or with less‑lethal certifications (OC, baton, taser) are highly regarded.
- Equipment: Black pants and duty belt provided by employee. Shirts & jackets provided by company. For sites that require less lethal equipment, the equipment is provided by the company.
- Reliable transportation: Due to the temporary nature of some of our clients, employees will need to travel to temporary sites in their coverage area. Some of these sites may be covert plainclothes from their vehicles on‑site, and thus, employees must have their own reliable transportation.
