Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader.

Position Details

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Thursday 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM (6‑month commitment). Additional shifts may be selected through the scheduling platform.

How This Role Works
  • Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. You can work part‑time hours one week and full‑time the next— it’s up to you.
Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations calmly and in a problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high‑traffic areas to support authorized access, visitor direction, and compliance with property rules and posted instructions.
  • Communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or first responders while assisting with routine inquiries, security‑related concerns, and incident follow‑up as needed.
Minimum Requirements
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
