Installation Technician

Avera Media Group is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician experienced in audio-visual systems, security, surveillance cameras, and access control. This is a hands‑on installation role working in both high‑end residential and commercial environments.

The technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, and servicing smart home and commercial low‑voltage systems including AV, cameras, alarm systems, access control, and structured wiring.

We are looking for someone professional, detail‑oriented, and capable of clean, high‑quality installations with minimal supervision.

• Install and service low-voltage systems including:
• Audio/video and home theater systems
• Access control systems (card readers, maglocks, strikes)
• Alarm and security systems
• Network wiring and equipment (Cat6, racks, WiFi systems)
• Perform pre-wiring, trim-out, and final system installation
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site
• Program and configure systems (basic networking and device setup)
• Read plans, follow scopes of work, and execute clean installations
• Maintain organized job sites and professional appearance
• Communicate with clients and team members effectively
• Document work completed and provide updates through job management software

• Experience in low-voltage installation (AV, cameras, alarm, or access control)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and complete jobs properly
• Experience running and terminating Cat6 and low-voltage cabling
• Familiarity with residential and commercial installations
• Clean, professional installation practices (no messy wiring)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift equipment and work on ladders

• Access control systems (Brivo, PDK, , etc.)
• AV systems and home theater installation
• Rack building and network setup
• Smart home systems and lighting control
• Certifications or technical training in low voltage/AV
