Position SummaryThe OMR Hardware Commissioning Technician supports Mobile Robotics (OMR) operations by performing precision installation, modification, and removal activities on robotic systems and existing infrastructure. This role involves hands-on technical work including drilling, magnet installation, epoxy application, and removal of legacy components. The technician works in a structured operational environment and must adhere to strict safety, quality, and operational standards while utilizing power and hand tools.
Key Responsibilities- Drill holes into existing surfaces according to engineering specifications and safety guidelines
- Install magnets with precision and consistency
- Apply epoxy materials and finish surfaces flush with surrounding structures
- Remove detents, legacy systems, and obsolete hardware
- Safely operate power tools, hand tools, and vacuum equipment
- Perform surface preparation, cleanup, and debris removal
- Follow detailed work instructions, documentation, and quality standards
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and project personnel
- Maintain reliable attendance and complete work within scheduled timelines
- Support additional operational tasks as assigned
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Stand, kneel, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands and arms for drilling and installation tasks
- Comfortable working in environments with noise, dust, and industrial equipment
