Job Summary
The Maintenance / Electrical Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all repairs, preventive maintenance, and installations of equipment, fixtures, and facilities at the plant. This role includes hands-on maintenance work, diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and control systems, and overseeing the installation and testing of new machinery and infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise maintenance and repair activities performed by maintenance personnel.
- Conduct daily and weekly operational checks to ensure all systems and equipment are functioning efficiently.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Plan and ensure all scheduled maintenance tasks are completed on time, with deficiencies promptly corrected.
- Coordinate and oversee the mechanical and electrical installation and testing of new equipment and control systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, electrical faults, and control system issues on a daily basis.
- Supervise, coordinate, and manage work performed by subcontractors for all mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance projects.
- Purchase and manage parts, tools, supplies, and maintenance services; maintain proper inventory of spare parts and critical components.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and all applicable regulations.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned by management.
- Formal technical training or minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance and electrical installations.
- Proven knowledge of PLC programming, diagnostics, and electrical panel building.
- Strong ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures, permits to work, and risk assessments.
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Effective leadership and team management capabilities.
- Collaborative attitude with a willingness to assist and support others.
- Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams.
