Maintenance Technician

• Ensuring proper equipment upkeep, maintenance, and breakdown troubleshooting to meet production requirements while maintaining building needs.
• Coordinating with supervisors and managers on breakdown repair of equipment.
• Upgrading existing equipment by obtaining and presenting facts to Director of Operations for final approval.
• Prioritizing and scheduling specific equipment repairs.
• Coordinating the preventative maintenance program.
• Assisting department supervisors in reconstructing, moving, and installing new equipment according to plans.
• Electrical issues from 24 VDC control to 480 VAC 3 ph industrial.
• Addressing safety issues, replacing burnt lights, checking emergency lighting on a routine basis, lock‑out tag‑out program, electrical safety, confined space program.
• Maintaining and upkeeping grounds outside the building, including snow and ice removal as needed.
• Performing facility maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Keeping stock of routine repair parts and shop supplies.
• Following all safety directives and working in a safe manner.
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards around the work station.
• Knowing, understanding, and following quality procedures.
• Accurately documenting work as required by company procedures.
• Performing other duties as required.

• Three years of previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent with coursework in skilled crafts or trades training.
• Must be a hands‑on person capable of working in a fast paced environment while handling multiple projects at one time.
• Must be able to use mechanical tools, electrical test equipment, measuring instruments, and be able to read blueprints.
• Must have own mechanics tools.
• May require lifting of up to 100 lbs.
