- Respond to and complete resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner, troubleshooting issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
- Prepare vacant apartments/homes for new residents (make-readies): painting, drywall repair, deep cleaning, and repairing or replacing fixtures and appliances.
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify and resolve issues before they become major problems.
- Assist with keeping the property exterior, common areas, and walkways clean, safe, and free of debris (may include snow removal or light landscaping depending on the season).
- Keep accurate records of completed work orders, parts used, and time spent. Assist in managing the inventory of tools and maintenance supplies.
- Maintain a courteous and helpful demeanor with residents at all times, respecting their privacy and property while working in their homes.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed.
- Minimum of 6 months experience (1-3 years preferred) in residential property maintenance, facility maintenance, or a related skilled trade.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, team members, and management.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check.
- Room for career advancement including performance-based raises and pathways to Maintenance lead or Supervisor roles.
