Maintenance Technician - Engineer

Job Summary

Maintenance Engineer – responsible for the upkeep and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems at the Hotel Indigo Cleveland Gateway (Cleveland, OH). The role involves performing general maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

• Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Execute electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Repair woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, and other interior finishes.
• Maintain mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and miscellaneous devices.
• Keep records and logs of completed tasks in accordance with company policies.
• Prepare and submit completed task reports as requested by supervisors.

• Experience in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Knowledge of household repairs including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.
• Engaging and welcoming personality with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment and under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Starting hourly wage: $17.00 - $18.00.
