Overview
The Hood Technician is responsible for cleaning grease from cooking exhaust systems in commercial kitchens and performing supervisory-related tasks for crews. This role may involve after-hours work, coordinating with restaurant management, and ensuring safety and maintenance of equipment.
Responsibilities- Work after hours when facilities are closed, in and outside
- Often work alone with a helper and interact professionally with restaurant management and staff; maintain honesty and trustworthiness
- Inspections, cleanup, and some maintenance
- Take photos of work
- Travel to job sites and between locations
- Complete required paperwork
- Keep truck and equipment in working condition
- Clean kitchen exhaust systems including fans
- Operate safely with ladders, chemicals, and other safety practices
- Meet scheduled appointment times
- Other duties as assigned

Education, Training, Certifications- HS Diploma or equivalent, required
- Leadership skills; ability to motivate and provide direction
- Light mechanical ability; experience with hand/power tools
- Demonstrate critical and safety-forward thinking
- Collaborator able to work with all levels of employees
- Strong diligence and accuracy
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English with employees and customers
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to comply with company drug, alcohol, and background screening requirements (may include customer-specific requirements)
