Service Tech - ROS

About the Role

As a Service Tech I, you will use your skills to perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on equipment safely and professionally. This role offers the opportunity to improve and challenge yourself daily, with potential advancement to higher Level Tech positions. Exceptional customer service is required.

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use
• Report machine condition to Management
• Perform minor repairs on rental equipment, including checking oil, grease, fluids, electrical systems, AC systems, plumbing, and tagging equipment for rental‑ready status
• Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment and parts
• Manage and organize inventory
• Complete other duties as assigned

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, vacuum trucks, AC systems, and RV systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools applicable to the position
• Basic plumbing knowledge
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
