Maintenance Lead, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic, Welder ​/ MIG​/MAG​/TIG

Maintenance Lead – Cleveland, OH

Schedule:

6‑day workweek 10 pm‑8 am. Shift options: 11 pm‑7 am, 5‑day week. Weekends required.

Pay Range: $70,000 – $90,000 per year. Eligible for overtime bonuses.

• Perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Perform preventative maintenance duties on all equipment.
• Monitor machinery and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation.
• Execute welding and mechanical repairs on industrial machinery in a material recovery facility.
• Repair or fabricate conveyors and component parts.
• Use welding and cutting equipment for all phases of metal fabrication and repair.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
• Complete all required paperwork and electronic updates.
• Utilize heavy industrial shop tools and equipment.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Promote a positive work atmosphere through positive communication with colleagues, customers and management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Strong leadership experience.
• Strong electrical knowledge.
• Sanitary welding hands‑on experience.
• Experience with stainless‑steel sanitation.
• Experience in the food industry.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays (up to 60 hours per week).
• Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of pumps and valves is a plus.
• Three‑phase 480 V electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Preventative maintenance orientation.
• Excellent welding and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with all levels of welding and cutting equipment for industrial maintenance.
• Ability to recognize and avoid electrical hazards.
• Familiarity with electrical PPE (arc‑flash suit, insulated gloves, tools).
• Proficiency with voltage test equipment.
• Ability to determine nominal voltage and approach distance for electrical components (NFPA 70E).
• Decision‑making skills for hazard assessment, PPE selection, and job planning.
• Physical capability for prolonged exertion, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tight areas.
• Capability to work in all weather conditions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with computer use.
• Ability to obtain a certificate to operate powered industrial lift trucks.
• Possession of necessary tools for assigned tasks.
• Ability to obtain pre‑employment certification, including drug testing.

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of pre‑employment testing.
• Strong reading and speaking English language skills.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in welding, metal fabrication, sanitary or completion of a two‑year technical training program (preferred).

• Exposure to noise, heat, dust, fumes, and chemicals in a food production environment.
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions possible.
• Heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
• Twisting, turning, and bending.
• Wet environments.
