Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role based in the Greater Cleveland area. The Carpenter will perform a variety of construction tasks, including framing, installing structural components, and completing finish carpentry work such as trim, doors, and cabinetry. Daily responsibilities include measuring and cutting materials, operating hand and power tools, assembling and installing wood, metal, and other building materials, and assisting with layout and preparation of job sites.
The role also involves reading and interpreting construction plans, collaborating with supervisors and crew members, following safety procedures, and maintaining tools and work areas in good condition. The Carpenter will support both residential and commercial projects as needed.
- Strong carpentry skills, including framing and finish carpentry, with the ability to work accurately from plans and measurements.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction settings.
- Knowledge of construction methods, building materials, and basic building codes and safety practices.
- Ability to lift materials, work on ladders or scaffolding, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail, reliable time management, and ability to work both independently and as part of a crew.
- Prior experience as a Carpenter or in a related construction trade; apprenticeship or vocational training is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in the Greater Cleveland area.
