We are currently seeking experienced Alarm Technicians to install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm, intrusion/burglar, and access control systems on large commercial construction and service projects. This full-time position focuses heavily on commercial fire alarm and intrusion work and offers primarily daytime hours with regional travel assignments lasting 2-4 weeks at a time. Company vehicles, hotel accommodations, and food per diem are provided during travel.

Responsibilities- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm, intrusion/burglar, and access control systems across large commercial facilities and construction sites.
- Perform device installation, wiring, termination, and testing to install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm, intrusion/burglar, and access control systems according to project specifications.
- Program, inspect, test, and commission systems to ensure full functionality and code compliance.
- Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and service calls while working to install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm, intrusion/burglar, and access control systems for customers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical drawings.
- Pull, route, terminate, and label low-voltage cable including 18/2, Cat5e, Cat6, composite, and fire alarm cabling.
- Install panels, keypads, access control hardware, magnetic locks, strikes, door contacts, motion detectors, card readers, and notification devices.
- Complete final testing, customer demonstrations, and inspections for projects requiring professionals who can install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm, intrusion/burglar, and access control systems.
- Document service work, project progress, inspections, and repairs accurately.
- Travel to project locations while maintaining company safety standards, PPE requirements, and vehicle accountability.
- Proven experience to install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm, intrusion/burglar, and access control systems in commercial environments.
- Experience with installation, servicing, and commissioning of fire alarm, intrusion, and access control platforms.
- State-required low-voltage, alarm, fire, or security licenses where applicable.
- Knowledge of systems including Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, Notifier, Bosch, DSC, Honeywell, and similar manufacturers.
- Strong understanding of NFPA regulations, life safety systems, and industry standards.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Comfortable with regional travel for 2-4 weeks at a time.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with the skills to install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm, intrusion/burglar, and access control systems independently.
- Must possess PPE, basic hand tools, and reliable transportation when required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Boom lift, scissor lift, OSHA, and confined space certifications are a plus.
- Ability to effectively install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm, intrusion/burglar, and access control systems while meeting project deadlines and customer expectations.
