Role Overview

We are currently looking for a skilled Reliability Maintenance Technician – Electrical & PLC to join our industrial manufacturing team. This role is perfect for a practical maintenance expert who possesses advanced electrical diagnostic abilities and a proven track record of servicing PLCs, automated manufacturing systems, and complex industrial hardware.

Your primary focus will be to ensure peak equipment performance by identifying and resolving electrical and control system malfunctions, executing proactive maintenance schedules, and providing rapid support during production equipment failures.

• Identify and resolve issues within industrial electrical and control frameworks.
• Maintain and service PLCs, I/O modules, sensors, relays, motor starters, and automation components.
• Use technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools to pinpoint electrical malfunctions.
• Execute routine preventive and predictive maintenance tasks on plant machinery to ensure long-term reliability.
• Repair and troubleshoot various electrical components including motors, drives, VFDs, and control circuits.
• Analyze recurring equipment failures to determine root causes and propose effective solutions.
• Perform necessary repairs across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Minimize production interruptions by providing immediate response to equipment downtime.
• Provide technical support during the installation, modification, and startup of new equipment.
• Interpret technical manuals, electrical blueprints, and documentation to guide repair efforts.
• Leverage PLC software and diagnostic interfaces to resolve complex control system problems.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly adhering to OSHA, electrical safety, and LOTO protocols.
• Keep detailed maintenance logs and document all repairs and preventive tasks performed.
• Collaborate with engineering and production departments to boost overall equipment uptime and efficiency.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance within a production setting.
• Advanced proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and industrial control systems.
• Practical experience diagnosing and maintaining PLC-based systems.
• Competency with VFDs, motors, sensors, relays, and control panel hardware.
• Proven ability to analyze and follow electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Solid mechanical aptitude, including experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with established preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by following LOTO and industrial safety standards.
• Proficiency in using multimeters and other essential electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for effective root-cause identification.
• Ability to operate autonomously in a high-speed manufacturing atmosphere.

• Experience troubleshooting PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley/Rockwell.
• Familiarity with HMI interfaces and industrial automation technologies.
• Experience resolving issues with servo systems, encoders, and automated machinery.
• Relevant certification in industrial maintenance or electrical trades.
• Background working in heavy manufacturing or steel-processing facilities.

We are seeking a dedicated industrial maintenance professional rather than a general building technician. The ideal team member is capable of approaching a non-operational production machine, identifying the specific electrical or controls fault, troubleshooting the PLC, and performing the necessary repairs to restore full functionality.
