Maintenance Technician

Our client is a leading plastics and packaging manufacturer based in the Cleveland, Ohio area, supplying high-quality products to customers across the USA.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on maintenance professional looking for a stable Monday–Friday 1st shift position with a growing manufacturing organization.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment, ensuring machinery operates safely, efficiently and reliably.

You will work closely with Production and Engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, complete preventative maintenance and minimise production downtime.

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Troubleshoot production machinery and minimise downtime.
• Carry out electrical fault finding involving motors, sensors, drives and control systems.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and other mechanical equipment.
• Support machinery installation, commissioning and modification.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and implement improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics

• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Manufacturing experience is essential.
• Experience with in plastics, packaging, extrusion, injection molding or converting is highly desirable.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Relevant technical qualification or equivalent hands‑on experience.
