A day in the life Install, service, and repair industrial electrical equipment and plant power systems.
Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance across a wide range of assets, including communication systems; radios and radio‑controlled cranes; gauges and measuring devices; ultrasonic and fluidic equipment; VDTs; PLCs; microprocessors; numerical and programmable controllers; low‑ and high‑voltage power distribution systems; rectifier equipment; and measuring/test equipment.
Diagnose faults quickly and implement durable fixes to minimize downtime.
Read and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete work accurately.
Uphold electrical codes, plant safety standards, and best practices at all times.
Partner with maintenance teammates and production to optimize equipment performance.
Document maintenance, repairs, and parts usage with precision.
Continuously build skills through training and development opportunities.
What you bring
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrical apprenticeship preferred.
EITHER a Journeyman’s card OR 4+ years of applicable maintenance experience AND a qualifying score on an assessment administered by Howmet during the interview process.
Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, circuits, and troubleshooting methods.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
Detail-oriented problem solver with strong communication skills and a positive approach.
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when needed.
Schedule and payRole is assigned to 2nd or 3rd shift in alignment with the collective bargaining agreement.
Base wage: $43.56 per hour Additional Cost-of-Living Adjustment: $4.75 per hour (added to base)2nd shift differential: $0.47 per hour3rd shift differential: $0.78 per hour
Earn one week of vacation after 6 months of service
