We are seeking a part-time Treatment Advocate to join our Ancillary Services Team in Cleveland, Ohio.

Position Summary:
The Treatment Advocate works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the families being served by the National Youth Advocate Program by working closely with the youth and family to provide advocacy and support towards targeted goals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program's mission, values, and philosophies.
- Actively and directly engage with the youth to meet service needs and goals/objectives of the treatment/service plan.
- Interact with the youth to develop a trusting, supportive professional relationship while assisting the youth in achieving identified goals.
- Provide behavioral health services, in accordance with needs identified on the youth's service plan, including therapeutic behavioral services, psychosocial rehabilitation, and community psychiatric supportive treatment per provider credentialing requirements.
- Transport children, youth and families to family visits, multi-disciplinary meetings, appointments, court hearings, placement, and other events as requested.
- Provide crisis support services and effectively support the de-escalation of youth and family crisis as needed.
- Complete all relevant training on a timely basis as required by state, contract, and/or licensing agency standards.
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Supervise visitations of children and youth who are not living with their birth families as needed.
- Assist and support family reunification efforts with the youths' primary family or other permanent living arrangements consistent with the youth's case plan.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Associate's Degree in social services is preferred.
- Able to achieve Medicaid and Managed Care Organization provider credentialing.
- Reliable transportation.
- Vehicle used to transport youth and families successfully passes state inspection requirements.
- Driver's License with a safe driving record.
- Ability to travel outside of regional assignment, as needed.
- Flexible schedule, including ability to work non-traditional and evening/weekend hours.
- Working, reliable telephone.
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing.
Other
Skills:
- 2 years' experience working directly with youth and families is preferred.
- Works well independently and as a team member.
- Multi-task efficiently and be flexible in all situations.
Driving and Vehicle Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal transportation
- Good driving record
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
