Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Over 10 years of experience in software development, emphasizing full-stack development
- A minimum of 5 years in a leadership position, guiding and training a team of developers
- Strong proficiency in Java (Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate)
- Extensive experience in building and integrating RESTful APIs and SOAP web services
- Experience with Node.js for backend development and integration with front-end technologies
- Solid background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and deploying microservices using Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and Git Lab, along with knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Skilled in using SQL databases (MySQL, Postgre
SQL) for schema design, querying, and performance optimization - Experience working in Unix/Linux environments, including scripting and performance troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka, No
SQL databases like Mongo
DB, and Docker & Kubernetes is advantageous - Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies for management and development processes
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana is a plus
- Basic understanding of UI/front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, or Angular is preferred
- Lead the design and architecture of high-performance and scalable applications and services utilizing Java, Node.js, and cloud technologies – Create and develop efficient APIs and integrations using RESTful and SOAP web services, along with microservices architecture – Oversee the entire development cycle, from gathering requirements to deployment in production, ensuring the code is of high quality and efficiency – Collaborate closely with the Dev Ops team to facilitate smooth deployments, establish CI/CD pipelines, and ensure continuous integration – Mentor and guide a team of developers, promoting best coding practices, design patterns, and performance enhancement techniques – Facilitate integration with various third-party systems to ensure seamless communication of APIs and data flow across distributed platforms – Utilize GCP services to develop cloud-native solutions that are scalable, reliable, and cost-effective – Diagnose and address complex technical issues associated with applications, APIs, and system integrations – Remain current with new technologies and trends, introducing best practices and modern tools to the workflow – Ensure the software development lifecycle (SDLC) complies with industry standards and internal processes
