Overview

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for facilitating the use of systematic tests and assisting in the development, application and maintenance of quality standards for firm products. The incumbent is responsible for contributing to the development, modification, and execution of software test plans, as well as creating automated scripts and programs for testing. They will also aid in the analysis and writing of test standards and procedures, help maintain documentation of test results, and provide support to the development engineers to address issues and debug software products.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. The incumbent must work with cross-functional teams to support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining accurate and detailed records, and demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements and priorities.

This position is not hybrid/remote and will be located at our Cleveland Headquarters office.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in debugging software products by maintaining and optimizing systematic tests used to develop and maintain quality standards for firm products
  • Ensure that software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing are efficient and effective, and report to senior engineers with suggestions for improvement
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities for test strategies, standards and procedures. Collaborate with other team members to ensure alignment with leading practices
  • Manage the documentation of test results, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date, and make it accessible to relevant stakeholders
  • Help to identify and implement improvement opportunities to automate integration, test, and deployment of solution quality
  • Support continuous monitoring to proactively identify quality issues
  • Monitor and analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and assist the team in drafting corrective action
  • Provide support to development engineers in resolving incidents and problems
  • Support other team members in preparing technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software and provide feedback for the improvement of these appraisals
Qualifications Education
  • Required:

    Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, or in lieu of a degree, at least 4 years of experience in quality assurance engineering or software testing
Preferred
  • Quality Assurance certifications
Knowledge & Experience
  • Required:

    2-4 years of experience in quality assurance engineering or software testing
  • Moderate understanding of software testing standards, policies, methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • 3+ years of hands-on quality assurance experience supporting enterprise platforms and business systems (e.g., Service Now or similar), focused on test planning, test case design, and execution of functional, regression, and integration testing for configured, customized, and integrated solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting platform releases and changes across enterprise systems, including validating upgrades, enhancements, and integrations, assessing downstream impacts, and partnering with engineering and platform teams to ensure stability, performance, and readiness for production.
  • 1+ years of experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) contributing to sprint planning, clarifying acceptance criteria, validating delivered increments, and collaborating within cross-functional teams.
