CGI is hiring a Java Tech Lead to join our dynamic team. You will work on projects for one of the largest financial institutions in the US, developing advanced Java solutions using Spring Boot, microservices, and related technologies. The role is located in Cleveland, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX, Birmingham, AL, or Miamisburg, OH.

• Design and develop applications using the latest Java concepts in Spring Boot.
• Design and maintain APIs, services, and various payment sources.
• Collaborate with API developers across teams to build new API features at large scale.
• Improve API standards and services.
• Review design documents and provide feedback on approach and estimates.
• Provide technical expertise in design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software.
• Ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end‑user requirements.
• Complete complex development, design, implementation, architecture design specification, and maintenance activities.
• Approve technical solutions proposed by team members and elevate complex technical issues to IT experts, including architects.
• Recommend development options, including design, build, and test.
• Resolve technical problems discovered by the team and internal clients, researching issues and performing root‑cause analysis.
• Code, test, debug, document, and implement complex software applications.

• Experience leading a team of developers.
• 8+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
• 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining REST APIs using Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD and Dev Ops tools such as Git Hub/Git Lab, Jenkins, etc.
• Experience with Open Shift and Kafka is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile and/or Scrum development.
• Problem solving and analytical thinking.
• Ability to manage workload, multiple priorities, and conflicts with customers, employees, and management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Compensation Range: $69,700 – $154,300 (U.S.)
