Overview A global, cross-functional Integrated Supply Chain team is seeking an innovative Software Engineer to develop and enhance manufacturing test equipment used in production environments. This role will focus on updates to existing test systems supporting products manufactured across multiple sites, with tightly coupled hardware and software. The ideal candidate can flex across software, hardware, and systems engineering to deliver robust, safety-critical test solutions and provide production support.
Must be local to the area. This position requires working at both Twinsburg and Mayfield Heights, Ohio locations. Responsibilities

Develop and maintain robust, safety-critical manufacturing test systems, integrating software, hardware, and systems engineering disciplines
Deliver updates and enhancements to existing manufacturing test equipment and associated software
Drive consolidation of test platforms to improve maintainability and change management across products
Help address emerging challenges in platform management, technical debt, data management, and cybersecurity
Apply software engineering best practices and contribute to adoption across a cross-functional team
Participate in an Agile team within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) organization, including sprint and PI planning
Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple organizations and global regions
Leverage modern CI/CD practices and Agile tooling to improve delivery and quality
Communicate schedules, risks, and technical challenges to support delivery within timelines and budgets
Provide Tier 2 support for technical issues impacting manufacturing test equipment in live production

Required Qualifications

Experience developing software in object-oriented languages such as C#, C++, or Python
Experience with software configuration management and version control
Strong understanding of hardware/software interactions and the ability to troubleshoot integrated systems
Windows programming experience
Experience building or supporting safety-critical and/or high-reliability software
Experience working with Git
Familiarity with CI/CD and Dev Ops concepts
Experience testing hardware-software integrated systems
Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams
Must be able to work at both Twinsburg and Mayfield Heights locations (local candidates only)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Git Hub Copilot and other LLM tools in software development workflows
Experience with hardware/software integration and communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and CIP
Knowledge of electronic hardware design processes and mechanical design concepts
PLC programming experience
Modern firmware programming and security practices; familiarity with secure programming frameworks
Proficiency with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
Experience with test tools and environments such as National Instruments Test Stand
Familiarity with test equipment (e.g., DMMs, multimeters, related instrumentation)
Systems engineering background, including requirements-driven development environments
Experience with Agile tools such as Jira and/or Azure Dev Ops
Experience with continuous integration practices
