Product Developer, Sr

As a Senior Product Developer at Epicor, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining product features across frontend, backend, database, and integration layers. You will help deliver secure, high-performing solutions that scale for enterprise workloads while partnering closely with Product Management, Quality Assurance, UX, and cross‑functional teams. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence through design reviews, code quality improvements, mentoring, and continuous innovation.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain new and existing application features across the software development lifecycle.
• Build responsive user experiences using React, Angular, or similar modern web frameworks.
• Develop backend services, business logic, APIs, and integrations using Python, Django, or comparable technologies.
• Create and optimize SQL queries, database models, and data processes to support scalable enterprise applications.
• Lead technical design discussions, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architectural and solution planning decisions.
• Investigate software defects, identify root causes, and implement sustainable, long‑term solutions that improve product quality and performance.
• Mentor developers, promote development best practices, and leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance product capabilities and team productivity.

• 5+ years' experience in software development, with demonstrated success delivering modern web applications and enterprise‑scale solutions.
• Strong experience with React (or a similar modern UI framework), Python, Django or comparable frameworks/ORMs, SQL, APIs, and full‑stack web development.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, testing methodologies, debugging techniques, application security, and performance optimization.
• Experience designing, building, and supporting integrations, RESTful APIs, and data‑driven applications.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience with AI-powered development tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Codex, Claude, or similar technologies.
• Proven ability to mentor team members, influence technical direction, and drive improvements to coding standards, tools, and development processes.
• Experience rapidly learning new technologies, platforms, and business domains while delivering impactful solutions.
