Title: Plant Operator / Backup Delivery Driver (CDL A or

B) (Open)

• Cylinder Handling:
  Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.
• Record Keeping:
  Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.
• Safety and Compliance:
  Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
• Warehouse Support:
  Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License.
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.
• Hazmat Endorsement (or willing to obtain).
• One (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record (no more than two convictions, or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years, or a combination of one conviction and one at‑fault accident in the last three years).
• In lieu of experience, may consider a diploma from an accredited driving school and at least one year of prior driving experience within the last five years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
• Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76–125 lbs. with material handling equipment.
• Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required.
• Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
• Must obtain forklift operator certification.

• Starting pay of $26.50–$27.50/hr.
