Class A CDL Equipment Operator

Clean Harbors in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks/work equipment at customer sites. The role includes driving and non‑driving duties on and off customer sites associated with hazardous waste clean‑up.

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed in a team atmosphere.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Perform manual labor on site to ensure customer needs are met.
• Place placards on vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
• Follow local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements.
• Observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
• Observe all company environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be available on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
• Perform site‑remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling as required.

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical as required by position.
• Meet OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard facial hair requirements for respirator use.

• Commercial driver experience.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
• Previous Hazmat experience.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Previous manual labor experience.

• Pay range $26-30 per hour.
