CDL Shuttle Driver; DOT

An SP+ Shuttle Driver DOT will be responsible for the proper and safe operation of shuttle buses and transporting passengers, ensuring they reach their destination efficiently, safely, and seamlessly.

• Go above and beyond to deliver an exceptional client and customer experience guided by the SP+ Promise, including answering questions, offering city directions, and ensuring each interaction is positive.
• Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
• Be at work every scheduled day, on time, and in uniform.
• Possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license and carry it with you while on duty.
• Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc., to the garage office.
• Substitute for Cashiers or Valets when authorized.
• Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area to assist customers in seamless transportation experience.
• Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items as needed (e.g., operating shuttle buses at an airport location).
• Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Education / Experience

Required:

Less than high school education or one month related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License Requirement:
Valid CDL Class A, B or C driver’s license with Passenger Endorsement, maintained per DOT regulations.

DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.

Availability to Work:
Shift requirements may vary. Availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.

Skills:

Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information one‑on‑one to customers and employees.

Mathematical

Skills:

Add, subtract two‑digit numbers, multiply and divide with tens and hundreds, perform operations using US money units.

Appearance:
Maintain a neat and clean appearance and wear complete uniform at all times.

Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasionally sit, climb or balance; may lift or move up to 75 lbs.
