Overview
Under limited supervision, the Warehouse Driver operates a company vehicle to pick up and deliver local orders and equipment. This role arranges the most efficient route. The Senior Warehouse Driver also provides warehouse support at the branch location as needed.
Responsibilities- Operating company vehicle to pick up and deliver local orders and equipment as required.
- Sorting assignments and arranging the most efficient route.
- Maintaining Vendor Managed Inventory programs at customer locations.
- Organizing products in reverse delivery order and loading them in the delivery vehicle.
- Unloading products at customer location and obtaining customer signature on packing slip to show proof of delivery.
- Determining which items need to be picked, checked and shipped from sales order.
- Preparing items for delivery to customer.
- Securing packages to prevent damage during shipping.
- Assisting with restocking of products on shelves.
- Assisting less experienced Warehouse Drivers with addressing customer needs, including locating items and resolving problems.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and three (3) to five (5) years of experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Must be able to move up to 100lbs and lift up to 50 lbs.
Licenses & Certifications- Valid driver’s license and annual review of driving record.
- Road test required upon hire.
- All company vehicles are subject to continuous video monitoring.
- Internal training and certifications required upon hire.
- Medical Card / DOT Physical.
- May be required to earn safety certifications for specific customers.
- Must comply with applicable federal DOT guidelines.
