Warehouse Operator - Part Time

Warehouse Operator Responsibilities

This position supports the shipping and receiving team. Tasks include picking orders from the warehouse, quality checking picked orders, packing those orders, and preparing them for shipment. The operator assists in shipping outgoing packages and unloading delivery trucks throughout the day. The operator verifies incoming shipments, keeps the warehouse clean and organized, and replenishes inventory as necessary.

• Prepare all documentation for orders being shipped, including freight order paperwork, packing slip preparation, and local courier scheduling.
• Maintain and adhere to all current UPS and Fed Ex rules and regulations for mail center processing of outgoing shipments.
• Execute all quality control checks throughout the operation.
• Pick orders from the warehouse based on packing slips, ensuring the correct item and quantity is picked.
• Assist with inventory counts as needed to ensure accuracy and timely replenishment.
• Notify Lead/Supervisor of problems or potential problems as they occur.

High school graduate.

• Preferred 1 year experience working as a picker or packer in a Warehouse or Distribution Center.
• Must have basic computer skills and be able to utilize a computer for QC, Shipping, and Inventory systems.
• Must be able to navigate Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

• Able to perform the above listed essential duties in a satisfactory manner.
• Must be able to work under the pressure of meeting weekly and monthly mail closing schedules and deadlines.
• Must be quality conscious and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physically capable of lifting a minimum of at least 40 lb. boxes of materials.
• Capable of standing and being on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Physically capable of loading and being able to push a flatbed cart weighing 100-125 lbs. to a staging area for courier pick-up.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel and management.
