OPEX Intern – Operational Excellence Internship Program

• Study assembly line processes and identify areas for improved throughput, line‑balancing, and process standardization.
• Document processes using process flow mapping, standard work, and visual‑management techniques.
• Revise manufacturing documentation and support shop‑floor team leaders on a daily basis.
• Analyze data to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other process engineers to identify and develop the equipment needed to produce specific products, parts, and components.

• Basic Qualifications: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering; on track to graduate within 1–2 years; available to work 10–15 hours per week from the facility.
• Additional Qualifications: Strong MS Office skills; excellent written and verbal communication;
  Lean or Toyota Production Systems training preferred; ability to work independently and take direction from others; coursework in CAD/Drafting and/or programming is a plus; ability to lift 25 lbs.
