The Tech Solutions Coordinator coordinates and supports Cooperative Education (Co-Op) and internship curriculum in collaboration with Computer Information Technology (CIT) instructors and performs related duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions Tech Solutions Operations & Technical Support (35%)- Coordinate daily Tech Solutions operations, including preparing, maintaining, and updating IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and systems.
- Provide technical guidance to students/interns and assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, inventory, electronic ticketing systems, and related records.
- Assist in the coordination of student/intern schedules and provide guidance on customer service, technical support, confidentiality, and data management.
- Provide feedback to CIT instructors regarding student/intern performance to support evaluation and assessment.
- Collaborate with CIT instructors to coordinate Co-Op, internship, and Skills Lab experiences.
- Assist with Skills Lab planning, including research assignments, equipment and supply needs, lab scheduling, and development of lab environments.
- Maintain and inventory Skills Lab equipment, hardware, software, and supplies.
- Occasionally work in elevated or confined areas or ascend/descend ladders to access equipment.
- The Tech Solutions Coordinator will be required to meet those standards now required or which in the future may be required by the Tennessee State Board of Regents and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
- The appointee may be required to achieve additional skill, knowledge, or credential levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Work activities regularly involve the use of standard office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, scanners, telephones, and related devices to perform tasks including data entry, document preparation, email communication, and report generation. The position may occasionally require the use of ladders and the ability to access equipment in elevated or confined areas.

- Ability to maintain a safe laboratory and classroom environment in accordance with established safety procedures.
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience (field and/or internship) in any combination of:
- Systems administration/technical support (e.g., managing user accounts, cloud-based systems, system configuration, ticketing systems, etc.).
- Technical project support (e.g., testing of software, etc., tracking project tasks, implementation/upgrades/migrations, etc.).
- Service desk (e.g., troubleshooting, ticket management, customer service, set-up of computers, monitors, printers, etc.).
