* Direct, lead, and execute the long- and short-term strategy to ensure sustainable results that meet or exceed financial and operational targets.
* Collaborate with the Production Planning and Materials departments to establish production priorities and plans.
* Lead team to meet schedule attainment, on-time shipment, and inventory dollar goals.
* Work closely with the operational excellence team to implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Prepare capital and operating budgets and allocate resources to meet department and company needs.
* Manage the daily manufacturing operations across multiple departments.
* Identify/prioritize/provide resources to assist the Plant Manager to meet the annual operating plan and budgetary commitments.
* Emphasize training and implement control systems on multiple shifts to eliminate product discrepancies.
* Commit to employee feedback and developmental processes.
* Support and emphasize the Safety and Quality commitments of the plant.
* Understand production priorities and drivers in order to increase or decrease production levels to match customer demand
* Build and maintain credibility in professional relationships with superiors, colleagues, and subordinates.
* Monitor, identify and develop skill gaps to ensure leaders and employees within manufacturing are ready for the next phase of Mueller’s development.
* Work to create/maintain a positive culture based on company and Cleveland Values
* Work to engage employees and ensure high performance.
* Investigate and resolve disciplinary issues up to, and including, suspensions and terminations.
* Build and develop improved operations, processes, and procedures to support the Company strategic direction.

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
* 7+ years progressive work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in the discipline/technology/process related to the position as well as 5+ years managing people directly.
* Strong experience in the successful implementation of LEAN Six Sigma.
* Experienced at developing supervisors with little leadership experience.
* Experience in looking at ways to further automated processes with continued improvement and efficiency in mind.
