Labor Pool

The Labor Pool provides essential, highly adaptive general labor support across various manufacturing functions—including material movement, assembly, packing, and specialized machine operation—to ensure continuous workflow, mitigate production bottlenecks, and maintain plant cleanliness. It serves as an entry point for individuals to gain exposure to different positions and manufacturing processes.

Job Duties and Essential Functions
  • Dynamic Deployment and Integration:
Report to the shift supervisor daily to receive assignments based on real-time production gaps, staff absences, or volume surges. Quickly adapt to different team dynamics and workflows with minimal transition time.
  • Production and Assembly:
Perform general assembly of components, subassemblies, or products by following work orders, production drawings, or verbal instructions. This includes positioning and feeding parts or materials for processing (feeding and off bearing).
  • Specialized Operation and Setup:
Operate, or assist with the setup of, various production machines such as presses, forming machines, and conveyors. Perform specialized fabrication and joining tasks, including brazing or soft soldering metal components according to specifications.
  • Material Handling and Logistics:
Load, unload, and move materials, parts, and finished goods within the plant using material handling equipment (e.g., hand truck, hoist). Transport, stack, mark, and pack finished products, load packaging machines, and verify container weights.
  • Maintenance and Quality Control:
Provide the necessary labor or technical support to mitigate bottlenecks and maintain target throughput. Monitor machine operation and finished work pieces to detect defects and ensure all products meet rigorous quality standards. Perform basic machine care and minor maintenance, such as oiling, lubricating, adding coolant, or making simple repairs.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma or a GED
  • 6 months manufacturing experience
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously for an entire shift (8-12 hours). Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry materials up to 40 lbs frequently, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hands for repetitive tasks, fine manipulation (assembly, soldering/brazing), and handling large objects. Regular bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting.
  • Excellent visual acuity required for monitoring machine operation, quality control, and detecting defects.
  • Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions, including noise, moving mechanical parts, and fluctuating temperatures.
Preferred Skills and Experiences
  • 2 years consistent work history in a manufacturing environment
Why Should You Apply?
  • Up to 80+ hours of paid training
  • Up to 120 hours of paid time off (prorated based on start date)
