We are hiring for a Material Handler to join our team. As a material handler, you will be responsible for the production process by ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies.
Key Responsibilities- Transport and supply raw materials and finished goods as directed by move tickets and/or verbal instruction.
- Receive and ship items and products as required, including loading, and unloading trucks via lift truck and/or pallet jack.
- Prepare move tickets and store raw materials and supplies in predetermined warehouse locations.
- Supply production with raw materials as required and return goods to the warehouse as needed.
- Qualify as authorized lift truck driver.
- Maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas.
- Work is performed in accordance with standardized procedures and instructions.
- Conform to all safety and housekeeping standards.
- Follow Plant specified job specification and task list.
- Must be able to work assigned shifts, including working overtime and attending after hour meetings as needed.
- May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a related role preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
