Intensive Care Unit Rn
The Intensive Care Unit RN provides comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients with complex medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions. The ICU RN is responsible for continuous assessment, medication administration, advanced monitoring, patient advocacy, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Operate and manage advanced medical equipment including mechanical ventilators, CRRT, Arterial lines, central venous catheters, Chest tubes
- Titrate vasoactive drips, sedatives, analgesics, insulin, and other critical care medications per protocol.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and unit-based committees.
Education:
Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure. Diploma preferred.
Experience:
Two years of experience in a hospital or medical environment is preferred. ICU experience preferred.
Licenses/Certificates:
Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required. Current BLS and ACLS required. If not ACLS certified on hire, must acquire within 30 days.
