Correctional RN in Cleveland, TN delivers comprehensive nursing care to inmates. The role collaborates with security staff to maintain a safe environment during health interventions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates, including assessments, treatments, and health education.
- Collaborate with security personnel to maintain a safe and secure environment during health interventions.
- Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Execute emergency procedures and respond to urgent health issues promptly.
- Maintain compliance with security protocols and facility rules during shifts.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Valid CPR certification
- Optional:
Initial or refresher training in correctional health - Minimum of 2 years of corrections or psychiatric experience as a registered nurse
- Prior experience working with inmates or in a correctional health setting
- Ability to work in a secure environment with background clearance pending confirmation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform under security measures with a guard present during shifts
Skills:
- Prior experience working with inmates or in a correctional health setting (highly preferred)

You hold a valid TN RN license with BLS certification. You have at least two years correctional nursing experience. You can work safely with security personnel present
